Business Process...

Business processes (BP) today need to be managed and modified for the same reasons they always have been: to adapt to consolidation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, regulatory compliance issues, shifts in business models, changing customer expectations, industry standardization and business process outsourcing. Business process management today (see BP White Paper), however, means manipulating complex processes that were either not viewed as critical in the past or are not now in a form where manipulation is practical. Responding to competition using traditional modes of process engineering, process improvement, and workforce mobilization are insufficient because of their one dimensional approach.

Kessinger & Associates has found that most business process issues are multi-dimensional in nature. In a complex environment the combination of many factors such as processes, people, and technology are in play throughout the organization. It is myopic to take the view that only one cause within one particular area is preventing full realization of corporate goals. Our preferred methodology is to encourage our clients to ensure that all facets of the organization are evaluated with respect to business process issues. This way true business performance improvement is assured.
